What we are here to do
Diverse voices, asking how technology can serve culture.
The AI Global South Summit is a symbolic meeting place. Rather than belonging to one city, it gathers experts, practitioners, industry leaders, educators, and cultural custodians around a shared question: how can AI and emerging technologies be used to preserve and promote cultural heritage across the Global South, while we honestly reckon with their impact on work and learning.
Through that exchange we want to open real opportunities for sustainable growth in the creative sectors, and to protect cultural assets both tangible and intangible, from languages and traditions to music and art. We also ask how these tools will shape future workforces and models of education, so that communities can build futures that are resilient, vibrant, and culturally their own.
Our stance
AI brought us to this moment. We acknowledge it, but we do not centre it. We centre the human experience in our modern techno-culture.
